At 16 months old, Madeleine has embarked on a big adventure with Ben and I by moving to Hawaii to live with Great Grandpa and Grandma Leupp for a few months.  It was the longest trip she’d taken yet and she did great on the airplane ride, only crying a couple times.  She seems to really like her new home.   She loves being outside and has enjoyed blowing bubbles in the yard and taking a walk around the neighborhood.  We took her to the beach for the first time today at Ala Moana beach and she had so much fun.  She splashed in the water and played in the sand with a bucket and shovel for a long time.  Her other favorite activity is swinging on the swing and hammock on the lanai.  Here are some photos of her first 24 hours in paradise:
